Artificial People Social Media Internship!
When COVID first hit I was offered two internships! I was promoted at Steez Promo from a promoter to an intern. However, Steez was put on pause amid the pandemic due to no more touring and live events. So I would fulfill my new duties once shows resumed. The second internship came from the lovely Charity Redding aka Bubblewrappe who I was in a Facebook group with- Female Ravers United. I had joined to the group to connect with other female ravers when I traveled solo to Colorado for Decadence NYE festival. When I saw she had posted in the group about needing someone to take over a EDM company's Instagram I knew I had to get in contact with her as IG is my strong suit. And sure enough after chatting with her and Noir a bit I joined the Artificial People Galaxy.
So a little bit about Artificial People-
The DJ/ Producer Noir D Costas aka Bryant Acosta started AP back in 2014. An all around EDM entertainment company Artificial People is aimed at connecting fans with unforgettable music experiences. One of the biggest parts of being apart of the AP galaxy is the inclusions and love. The company is built around connecting everyone with the power of music no matter gender, race, or sexual preferences. So I am truly proud to be apart of such an amazing brand that is pushing for equality in the EDM scene as well as the general music industry.
If you want to find out more about Artificial People-
What was Artificial People doing before Covid?
AP was sponsoring, promoting, and hosting countless shows across California but their main events were located in Hollywood and Los Angeles. Prestigious venues Artificial People has partnered with include Caesars Palace, Academy LA, Wisdome LA immersive art park, and the W Hotel Hollywood. Some of the pinnacle events AP has thrown are the Midnight Creatures night swim series, Hollywood & Las Vegas Pride, a show at Academy LA with Paris Hilton, Raging Runways- a fashion show party, and Dirty Blonde a night club series. Insomniac events has even partnered up with AP to put on a few shows in LA. In fact, if COVID didn't ruin 2020 festivals, AP was going to be doing a gay night on the strip for Insomniac's Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas(EDCLV) with the LGBTQ+ artists on the lineup. And I was going to be social media promotion for all and be able to attend/ work my first EDC, but.... RIP to all hopes and dreams in 2020. Fingers crossed for EDCLV 2021 or 2022.
Here are some of Artificial Peoples past events Pre- Covid:
So where do I come in?
I have been helping promote new music put out by our artists like
Boyz on Acid by Noir D Costas x Bubblewrappe
Rave Mom by JTJ ft. Bubblewrappe
I have been helping promote APs livestreams with Social Sanctuary which is a fully converted studio set up in LA where they bring DJs in for different themed/ genre livestreams. Social Sanctuary has full production like a real event except its relayed over the internet so fans can rave from home safely. They have a full stage, a host, visual boards, lasers, and even dancers. Check out here this amazing article written up by the Grammy's about Social Sanctuary.
On top of promoting for AP I have taken over their Instagram as well. I have been focusing on coming up with contests to push new music, creating IG stories & posts with engaging captions, growing their IG image and presence by posting regularly and engaging with other accounts and fans.
Here is what I have been promoting with Artificial People has been doing since Covid:
